Coaching is central to sport and is an essential element of achieving Sport England's outcomes to grow and sustain participation, and develop talented performers. High quality coaches ensure that young people and adults have an enjoyable and quality experience in their sport regardless of the level at which they participate.
As part of our support to coaching, Active Cumbria and our partners are developing Coaching Cumbria as a one stop shop for coaching information in the county.
For organisations - we will be providing information on Minimum Standards for Deployment of coaches, strategy development and support for your coaches. Organisations registering with Coaching Cumbria can request and advertise for coaches for sessions, access a pool of coaches that have indicated they would like more coaching hours, or through our affiliate programme manage the coaches they employ.
Active Cumbria can link you to a range of key partners:
For coaches we will be providing information about coaching opportunities, training and development opportunities, funding to help attend courses, details of how to become a coach and more. By registering on our database coaches can be kept up to date, develop their coaching CV and be linked to coaching opportunities and vacancies.
The best way to keep up to date with coaching news, coaching and development opportunities, access support and be able to search for coaches is to register with Coaching Cumbria as a provider.
